Coming to you on the blog today is Liesa and Jamal’s Virginia Beach Convention Center wedding, which is a serious contender for one of the sweetest weddings I have ever had the chance to not only photograph, but to also attend.

From early in the afternoon when we started the day to late that night, it was a non-stop stream of laughing, dancing and FUN! Jamal and his guys and gals started their day off at Top Golf while Liesa and her girls enjoyed a relaxing morning at The Oceanaire Resort Hotel. Let me tell you, there were major happy tears when her bridesmaids, mom, and future mother-in-law saw Liesa in her dress!  She was absolutely stunning!!

 

Every bride should look and FEEL this happy and beautiful on her wedding day! 

Mingled in with the priceless events were some genuinely sweet moments, too. Jamal and Liesa shared some of the sweetest vows I have ever heard and their ceremony was also beautifully written.  And the Jager Bombs were something completely awesome.  I love that they incorporated so many things that were THEM!  Ever since these two lovebirds met they have clearly been having the time of their lives. And, as you’d expect, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were just as much fun.  When I met with Jamal and Liesa about a month before their wedding we went over their wedding day timeline and questionnaire.  I always ask if there are any specific shots they would like me to get.  Jamal’s request for “a (poorly executed) photoshopped T-Rex” made me laugh.  While I know this type of photoshop work isn’t something I am a pro at, I like to think I didn’t do so bad :). So here ya go Jamal…your T-Rex.

When it was finally time for pictures of the bride and groom, these two were so happy and relaxed.  The drizzling rain didn’t bother them at all and we made the best of it! 

One of my favorite moments from the reception: Liesa’s parents playing some killer air guitar and rocking out to a little AC/DC. Favorite moment #2: When Jamal heard Genuine start up, grabs a chair for Liesa to sit in so he can show her his suave moves….and then his dad joins in.  Hilarious!! 

Just goes to show that fun and love go together really, really well. Congrats again, Liesa and Jamal!! Thanks for letting me be a part of such an awesome day!!
