Hey there!! Last week I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Romnie and Jay Jay!! Romnie and Jay Jay celebrated their first anniversary last weekend! As for marriage milestones, that first one is a memorable one!! Needless to say I was very excited they wanted to do an anniversary session to celebrate!
We chose the Chesapeake Arboretum as the location, and totally lucked out on a gorgeous, warm evening in March!! Â Romnie wanted to celebrate their first anniversary in a romantic location with a toast and slice of cake. Â I don’t think it could have been any more perfect! The dress Romnie wore was her Reception Dress from her wedding! She looked absolutely STUNNING!! Jay Jay looked quite dapper as well in all black.
There’s a lot that happens during your first year of marriage! Often times you’re living together for the first time, you may relocate, get new jobs, and make additions to your new family like getting a pet or having a baby! I think most all you learn a great deal about each other and about yourself!  As I was getting this post ready, I chatted with Romnie and asked her a few questions about her first year of marriage.  Her advice for newlyweds is that communication makes and breaks the relationship. Her favorite part of marriage is having a connection and the commitment to each other. Their favorite date night is takeout, movies and cuddling. And in the next year they hope to have a little one in the house!  Romnie’s favorite memory from her wedding day was when she and Jay Jay exchanged vows.  She said they laughed, cried, and laughed again!
There’s no doubt that I’m a full supporter of documenting life’s milestones—especially those based around love.  If you’ve got an important milestone coming up let me know!! I would love to document this special event in your life!!
